The Mission of the West Bridgewater Fire Department is to protect the citizens and businesses from the ravages of fire and provide emergency medical services. We also teach fire safety, provide burning permits and inspect properties to ensure adequate fire protection exists.

Fire Chief Lincoln Thibeault is a 17 year veteran of the West Bridgewater Fire Department. Chief Thibeault began his career in November of 2006 as a career firefighter/ paramedic. Chief Thibeault was appointed Fire Chief in May of 2021, Deputy Chief in February of 2018, and before that he held the rank of Lieutenant. Chief Thibeault holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Anna Maria College and a Bachelors Degree in Fire Science. Chief Thibeault holds multiple pro-board Chief Officer certifications from the Massachusetts Fire Academy and is a graduate from the Chief Officer Management Training program, sponsored by the Massachusetts Fire Academy and UMass Boston in January 2020.
