The mission of the Board of Selectmen is to properly, responsibly and fiscally represent the townspeople. The Board of Selectmen issues all Liquor Licenses, Class I, II and III Licenses, Garage Repair Licenses, Common Victualler Licenses, Public Amusement Licenses, Antique Store Licenses, Road Cut Permits for all road and curb cuts. The Board is also the hiring agency for most Town departments.

Along with acting as licensing agents for the Board of Selectmen, the staff in the Selectmen's' office offer Notary Public services, are C.O.R.I. certified and are able to answer most questions residents have, or in the very least, direct callers/visitors to some other agency who can assist them.

The Selectmen's office puts together the Town Meeting Warrants, the Finance Committee Budget Book and the Annual Town Report. Although we are a public agency, you will get personal service from our office.
