The Board of Selectmen called a Special Town Meeting for April 20, 2017 to vote on the purchase of the River Bend Golf Course. The Warrant can be found here. A copy of the articles with their respective explanations is also available.
While Town Meeting does not vote on the particulars of the Purchase and Sale Agreement for the purchase, the Town is providing a DRAFT copy of the agreement, as of April 6, 2017. This is to give residents an idea of the agreement that will be signed and decided on should Town Meeting approve the purchase. Again, a Town Meeting vote authorizes the Board to enter into an agreement for the purchase and sale of the golf course. It does NOT have the authority to dictate terms.
